Riva Consulting is a training, Consulting and capacity division that provides specialised, affordable training, consulting and support services to small medium micro enterprises (SMMEs), Local Government (LG) and Co-Operatives, so that they can efficiently initiate and manage development and job creation projects to the benefit of the communities they serve.
Training takes place on a one-on-one basis, in small groups, workshops and seminars. We offer specialised training to personnel in the critical areas of business; the training is designed to give a thorough overview of the strategic aspects of organizations and the way that each function interlinks; Planning (strategic thinking); Running (operations management,); Management (people, change and resources); Marketing & Sales, Finance (Raising fund, finance management system) Admin (Office admin, communication, Information management systems)
Safety Training is the backbone of your health and safety management system. Not only do you want to ensure that all stuff are able to prevent incidents but you also want the certificates of training to prove that you have taken all the necessary steps to ensure stuff safety training. South Africa needs more skilled people and a safety and health training course is the perfect place to start. Riva Group and Funda Institute safety has a range of safety training courses and we make it very easy with public classes in South African communities in partnership with Non-Profit organizations.

The Enterprise owner more often than not does not have a specific person to discuss his/her business difficulties, strategic ideas or other business goals with. Some Enterprise owners simply don’t have the time to think, plan or address these issues.
Riva Consulting is there and available to fill this critical need in a business, specializing in providing business advice as well as acting as a business coach to mentor the Enterprise owner through the process.
The mentoring process is initiated by spending a few hours with the Enterprise owner, doing a general business analysis and overview. We will then get into an agreement with the Enterprise owner to place these critical issues in their order of priority. After a thorough business analysis, the focus turns to the personal skills and competencies of the business owner, enabling improvement of those.
Enterprise owners are trained through the process of writing their own Business Plans. These are by nature ‘Hands-on Strategic Plans’ to address business issues and business strategies. By compiling and working through all the issues, the Owner can take ownership of the Business Plan and change it when and where necessary.
Riva Consulting also does business plans on behalf of the Owner.
We have assisted numerous Enterprise owners to compose business plans for their own businesses and in their very specific industries, focusing on lower costs, increased revenues and composing innovative business strategies, which ultimately leads to increased profits, even beyond expectations.
Our philosophy is to have a business plan that is alive, addressing day to day issues and finding plans to address problems of the past, preventing repercussions and repetitions of these problems.
We have the philosophy that business systems must imperatively be informative to the Owner, streamlined, and manageable providing more information with more ease.
When new approaches are implemented to enhance new business systems, it is always done with the Enterprise owner in such a way so as to free up more time while also making good business sense.
Soft skills enhance an individual’s interactions, job performance and career prospects. Soft Skills relate to a person’s ability to interact effectively with coworkers and customers and are broadly applicable both in and outside the workplace, this is an important part of their individual contribution to the success of an organization.
